An overview for my Terms of Service policies and agreements, as well as a breakdown for my spice scale.

General Information

  • Commercial Uses include: Book covers, merchandise (bookmarks, stickers, prints, apparel, postcards), Book Box items, for-sale or giveaway items, Kickstarter incentives, promo posts/ads on social media, marketing content, freebies, etc. If it is promoting your book, project, or brand in any way, it is a commercial commission.
Personal Uses include: Non-Book OCs like Game OCs, D&D/TTRPG characters, game and anime fanart, self portraits for non-professional social media.

  • ALL commercial projects are required to have a commercial-use License. License options for indie authors range from 35%-300%. License rates depend on the intent and scale of use, as well as duration. B&W Sketches, Semi-Renders, Full-Renders, and Scenes include a 35% Online Promotional use license included in the starting rates. Licensing for freebies and merch, Non-Exclusive, and Exclusive use require an extra fee.

Licensing is for a set period of time (with an average of 5+ years) with a set amount of units that can be renewed or increased with additional licensing.

Traditional publishers/authors and shops need to inquire for official quotes.

  • I have provided both Indie Commercial Rates and Personal Rates in my pricing section. All rates are starting rates; complexity can change the overall cost of your project. While prices are not negotiable, if there’s something out of your budget, I am willing to work with more simplistic design ideas to fit into a smaller budget range.

If you are a shop or a traditionally published author, publisher, or store, please email me for a quote.

  • "What WILL you work on?"

Character art and design, D&D characters, OCs, Covers,  various merch, book and game characters, realism portraits, Mild-moderate blood and gore, artistic nudity,  armor, and low complexity mecha accessories

    "What WON'T you work on?"

NSFW themes like extreme gore, sexual nudity, explicit couple's scenes or depictions, full mecha, furry/most anthro, large group scenes of 5+ characters

  • All commercial work requires a contract signature. A sample contract will be provided upon request. I require that clients seeking commercial work be 18 or older; if you are not 18 or older, you must have a legal guardian or legal representative sign in addition to your signature. Please note that contracts are not transferrable. Any agreements and decisions will pertain directly to the artist, author, and any involved parties.

  • Prices and payment are in USD. At this time, I only accept PayPal payments via invoice. For projects under $250, full payment is required up front, prior to the start of the commission. Payment is not required to book. For projects over $250, a non-refundable 25% deposit is required prior to the start of the commission; If needed, payment plans can be arranged for remaining costs. FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED FOR FINAL AND OFFICIAL FILES TO BE RELEASED TO THE CLIENT.

  • If a cancellation on behalf of the client occurs and the client has paid in full or partially while the commission is only in the sketching phase, a refund of 70% of what was already paid is returned to the client (excluding the 25% non-refundable deposit). A refund of 50% of the paid project cost is entitled to the client if the commission is cancelled midway. A refund will not be given if the commission is cancelled near or at completion. If the artist cancels, client will receive a full refund, if any payment has been made.

  • A rush fee is implemented if a commission is needed prior to my standard turnaround times. If a rush project is accepted, a fee of 50%-100% will be added to the total project cost. Client will be responsible for full payment of the project cost upfront if a rush project is accepted. Requesting a rush project does not guarantee I will be able to accept.

  • Turnaround times vary and depend on the complexity, size, and demand. Average times are as follows:

Black and White: 3 days - 1 Week

    Semi-Renders:  1-2 Weeks

    Full Renders: 2-4 Weeks

    Scenes: 4-6 Weeks

    Covers: 4-8 Weeks

Turnaround times are based on start to finish timeframes: NOT when you book.

FAQ

  1. What's the difference between Personal Use and Commercial Use? What can I do with my art?

Personal Use means that the art is not used to make a profit or promote a business or product. Commercial Use means you profit from the art, directly or indirectly. This means: selling the art, using the art to promote your work or a product (such as a book), using the art on things like books, social media, advertisements, and to give to potential readers. Personal use looks like D&D art, OC's from RP groups, or a character you just really like and want to see drawn.

If you are an author and want to commission art of characters from your books, it is generally considered commercial by default unless the art is not used to promote the book or project in any way.  Personal use means for yourself. If it is to be used in any way other than a single share for fun, or for personal reference, it is considered commercial.

  2. Do you draw NSFW?

While I don’t draw sexual nudity, extreme gore/violence, or grotesque art, light to moderate blood, violence, and artistic/nonsexual nudity are fine.

  3. What genres will you not work in?

I do not typically accept commissions for work in Dark Romance, Erotica, or Smut-Only genres. This is due to conversations surrounding consent, wildly varying spice preferences and limits, issues with literary depictions of abuse in intimate relationships and unhealthy sexual dynamics, and a boundary for both personal and professional reasons. You are always free to inquire about your project regardless. Click HERE for spice rating information and my rating scale.

  4. I don’t see the type of project I want to commission from you. Can I ask for something not listed?

Yes! If there is a project or artwork you wish to get and it is not an option listed, please feel free to inquire.

  5. What are your AI policies?

I do not and will never use AI in my work, in the creative process, or as a supplemental tool. I do not permit the use of AI to edit, modify, or expand on my art (such as generative AI like stable diffusion, generative fill, or generative expand). If you are providing references and many or most are AI, I will request that you find references that are not AI. I do not give  permission for AI to be used in or on the art at any stage. Please DO NOT generate AI images for references to use for your commission. I will not use them.

  6. Do you have any policies regarding LGBTQIA+, disability, or racism & prejudice?

I will NOT work on content or series that are: Homophobic/anti-LGBTQIA+, racist/racially prejudiced, sexist, or ableist/anti-disability inclusive. I take this stance very seriously.

  7. Can I commission you for commercial work with a copyrighted character that I don't own?

This is entirely dependent on permission by the rightful owner. I would request that you seek permission for commissions; otherwise, I will not permit commercial commissions for copyrighted characters that are not your own.

  8. I can’t pay my project in full before the deadline. Are there payment plans?

In some situations, I may permit the use of a payment plan or installments. However, this may delay the completion of your commission.

See: Spice Scale.
